Old Bucket List

Standard

It’s sort of today’s theme. I made this one my first semester at Smith, and since then I’ve knocked off three things (I know CPR, but not how to start an IV, so that one isn’t quite there yet). Not bad at all. 🙂

see the Northern Lights

have a baby

go to Uganda

learn to drive

work in a bakery

learn basic medical skills (how to put in an IV, give a shot, CPR, etc.)

own a dog

kiss someone in the rain

live on a sailboat (for at least a week)

surf

get married

do a historical reenactment (my guest spot in my friend’s Reacting to the Past class totally counts! I was Princess Mary, and it was awesome)

jump off of rocks into (deep. very deep. verified as deep) water

see the Pyramids (because I have a hard time really believing they’re real)

have a signature recipe that people ask me for

make a quilt

  1. Assign your name to a recipe. If you’re friendly, people will ask you for anything, but they have to know who to ask. This summer, three women asked me for my recipe for ginger salad dressing because the label on the bottle said “Lily’s Delicious Dressing.” Not a super classy title, but it gets the job done.
